Hello,
Yes, exactly these village Konczyska at route 980.
Village Konskie (Galizien) was in soviet handssince late summer 1944, while the town Konskie is not in Galizien
Simply I searched for any similiar name. What did they have, beginning with K, at they retreat to Wadowice? Kolaczyce, possibly Klecie, Kowalowy,
Konczyska, Krolowka, Kobylec, possibly Komorniki, Krzyszkowice, Kalwaria and Klecza. Of course, it could be any small settlement, but I don't think so - it should be a name existing on their maps (1:100000 scale).
You can write to Zakliczyn administration, but I'm almost sure they will have nothing interesting. They are not doing the archival research
About the archives: in 1945, there were in Zakliczyn area:
2 or 8 German soldiers buried at Zakliczyn cemetery
2 German soldiers buried at Zakliczyn (valley)
3 German soldiers buried at Zdonia
4 German soldiers buried in another common grave at Zdonia
14 German soldiers buried at the mass grave at Slona
2 German soldiers buried at Luslawice
Details are not known.
Sperstellung at Dobczyce (20/21.1.1945):
see this map
http://www.mapywig.org/m/WIG100_300DPI/P...CZKA_300dpi.jpg
1st defense line: a company (?) in single, simple trenches with MGs - point 292 south of Czaslaw, with front to the south and east; retreated in the nigth 20/21.1.
2nd defense line: a company (?) with one Pak in full-profile trenches of IVb-Stellung (not completed), at Marwin, north of Czaslaw, broken 21.1 morning
rear defense: some gropus of soldiers inside Dobczyce town, mostly with MGs and mortar company at the heigth Stroznica and Zamkowa, just between the name "Garb." and the southwestern church signature at Dobczyce; another group at the market square (possibly with one Pak, surely with Ofenrohrs), broken 21.1 afternoon
That's all. A similiar defense was set at another main road at Gdow.
Col. Gebhatdt's group: I don't have many details; it consisted mostly of St.R.195 infantry, with several Stug IIIs and the support of weak artillery, situated northwest of Dobczyce. They lost most of heavy equipment here.
I have one question for you all:
Is it possible to get an excerpt from
namentliche Verlustlisten somewhere? I mean: exact unit, date and place of death, for the certain period.
Best,
Piotr
